Gold Coast singer / songwriter Chloe Styler has today dropped emotional track ‘Patient Heart’.
‘Patient Heart’ is the follow up to the wildly successful ‘When Your Light Burns’. It was co-written by Chloe and two of her best friends and fellow musicians – Jenny Mitchell and George
Goodfellow – while at a songwriting retreat on a secluded sheep station in rural NSW. The heart-wrenching song is a plea for the person you love to let you know how they’re feeling before it’s too late, because none of us are guaranteed tomorrow.
“I’m a sucker for a love song, but this one doesn’t have the perfect ‘love story’ ending we all seek,” explains Chloe. “Because, more often than not, love doesn’t go as planned”.
The ‘Patient Heart’ creation process proved to be cathartic for its writers.
“The song practically wrote itself within a couple of hours,” Chloe says. “It was quite an emotional experience, with tears being shed and some really personal memories being shared during the process. I’m so incredibly thankful I got to write it with two of my favourite people in the world, as it makes it even more special.”
Emerging star Chloe has had a cracker of a 2019 so far, following a performance at this year’s Groundwater Music Festival and a finalist nod at Queensland Music Awards, and this new single is set to continue her upwards trajectory. She’s grateful for the support she’s received from the industry.
“I’m so thankful for the ongoing support from radio, media and the industry as a whole! It’s heart-warming to know how well my music has been received the way it has so far”.
‘Patient Heart’ is all set to continue the trend. Get your first listen below.
