Gold Coast artist Melissa Lukin has just dropped her chilled out number ‘Caught Up In A Dream’, and we’ve got your very first listen.
Accompanied by a stunning clip shot in the lush surrounds of the Tallebudgera Valley, ‘Caught Up In A Dream’ is a melodic, slickly-produced pop-country track with hooks for days and a message about forging your own path, regardless of what society tells you to do.
“The dream of what life is ‘supposed’ to be is not always what it’s ‘meant’ to be,” Melissa tells us.
“As a Mum, I have struggled with the monotony of what life can become and constantly crave adventure, and new experiences.
“It’s about dreaming big, doing what is right for you, and not getting ‘Caught up in the Dream’ of what everyone else says you should be doing. Go your own way.”

‘Caught Up In A Dream’ is a follow up to 2020’s ‘On The Water’. Just two releases in, Melissa has already proven herself to be one to watch in the commercial stakes, with her supple vocals, catchy melodies and professional production making for ideal radio fodder.
2021 looks like it’s headed to be something of a breakout year for this emerging talent, with two more releases lined up alongside some local shows as a trip to the Great Barrier Reef for the Country on Keppel music festival in July.
Produced by Luke Batterbury and with video direction by Steve Morris, ‘Caught Up In A Dream’ also features the talents of several Nashville-based musicians. Can’t get enough? Click here for everything Melissa Lukin and keep your eye on her socials for updates.
