In partnership with the Strawberry Association and the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Queensland, NightQuarter Helensvale have announced an special Strawberry Festival event on Saturday 13 October, 2018.
In the wake of the recent needle sabotage drama crushing strawberry farmers around the country, NightQuarter has joined forces with the industry’s peak body to deliver a fundraising festival to show much needed support our strawberry farmers who’ve been impacted.
There will be farm fresh pop up stalls from local strawberry farmers celebrating the sweetest things in life and showing you all the different ways you can eat strawberries safely and still kept the industry afloat.
The entire iconic precinct has gone a special kind of strawberry mad with Strawberry ice cream, strawberry funnel cakes, chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry soda, strawberry and Nutella toasties, strawberry milkshakes, and berry-licious cocktails at the bars all on offer.
NightQuarter Director, Michelle Christoe is thrilled to be able to open the venue in support of our local farmers. “NightQuarter delivers the perfect mix of community and culture to the Gold Coast and when news broke of the strawberry crisis, we immediately contacted the State Government to work together to make a real difference.”
“As soon as we mentioned the idea to our outlets, they were incredibly keen to bring this celebration of strawberries to life designing specialty themed delights to entice even the smallest sweet tooth!”
Early signs are that the festival will be an outstanding success with the Facebook Event Page showing that over 10,000 people have clicked to say they are interested in attending.
The Strawberry Festival Fundraiser will be held at NightQuarter this Saturday 13 October with gates opening at 4.00pm.
