to hotel, to play, to lose oneself
In a coup for the Gold Coast’s bold new cultural event Hotelling, one of Australia’s most exciting performance artists Moira Finucane has been added to the bill of sizzling artistic experiences set to take over QT Gold Coast this weekend, from 4 – 5 November.
Described as the Queen of Provocative Variety, the Empress of Intimate Spectacle and the Mistress of the Macabre, Hotelling guests are in for an undoubtable treat.
One half of the legendary production house of Finucane & Smith, Moira will be performing her internationally sold-out Queen of Hearts and Dark and Gothic cabaret shows exclusively at Hotelling, as part of the Down the Rabbit Hole events on Friday and Saturday evening.
Audiences can also get up close and personal with Moria during the Afternoon Playground Program in ‘The Floating Confessional’ experience held in the QT Gold Coast Pool before being invited to the Penthouse for a loungeroom conversation on The Art of Hospitality.
Hotelling is the hottest ticket on the Gold Coast this weekend. Locals, experience seekers and travellers should snap up tickets fast to enjoy a weekend of unpredictable art and performance, crisscrossing the corridors, courtyards, cocktail bars and clandestine corners of the hotel itself.
Choose between a thrilling evening of entertainment with Down the Rabbit Hole on Friday or Saturday night, featuring artists including Craig Walsh, Todd MacDonald, The Farm, Kate Harman, Lawrence English and Shock Therapy Productions, or an afternoon by the poolside, in the penthouse and on the promenade with The Afternoon Playground. Audiences are invited to hotel at QT Gold Coast this weekend.
The event will feature flirtatious, fly-on-the-wall interactions where dancers, theatre makers, musicians and media artists will be embedded in hotel life, blurring the line between where hospitality ends and art begins.
Curated by one of Australia’s creative leaders, the award-winning inter/national David Pledger, in collaboration with Bleached Arts, the team behind Bleach* Festival, Hotelling is set to add an alluring new layer to the Gold Coast’s cultural calendar.
Hotelling is a cultural tourism initiative of City of Gold Coast, presented by Bleached Arts and QT Gold Coast.
