Gold Coast’s newest boutique street festival, Shakafest, is pleased to bring you the second artist announcement!
The rad lineup is full of Australia’s loudest and proudest performers. Headlined by upbeat pop Sydney-sider’s Planet (pictured) with two of the most outrageous bands to touch the Sharky Stage – the insanely loud Jurassic Nark and local ’70s psychedelic funk rock band, Lotus Ship.
To kick off the day, local blues rock ‘n’ roll band Trapdoor will be taking the stage as well as not-so-delicate surf rock duo, Bleach Girls. Gold Coast favourites Radolescent plan to make an lasting impression with their, “in your face” vocals, tricky guitar licks and thrashing drums.
For the cherry on top of the stage, your hosts of the party, GD FRNDS, will be taking it away with our bombastic DJ set.
“The Sharky Stage lineup has completed Shakafest with the perfect combination of bands; from the relaxed and chilled, to the maniacs,” says Tamie Bennett from Wedge Head Events.
“All six of these bands are so unique and compliment the main stage acts perfectly. The Sharky Stage will be a place for the festivalgoers to find diversity in music and either chill out or rock out. Both the main stage and Sharky Stage lineups are insane, Shakafest is going to get loose!”
It’s time to hang loose at one of the best, new street festivals on the Gold Coast! The Miami Shark Bar will be open from 3pm until 10pm, entry fee is included in Shakafest tickets which can be purchased through moshtix.
