The ‘Good Coast’ Film Festival is open for submissions for this year’s festival to be held at Justins Park, Burleigh Heads on 9 November.
Hosted by SOMOS, this is a collaborative short film community festival, which highlights people, places and projects that contribute to Gold Coast culture in progressive and positive ways.
Organisers are looking for submissions that relate to local culture, environment and community from interested parties ranging from Coomera through to Cabarita.
Submitted works must be between 1 and 3 minutes in length, with an overall aim to find, reveal and connect the people who make the Gold Coast beautiful through the eyes of locals.
Selected films will be added to the ‘Good Coast’ website and voted by the public and the SMOS team, with winners being screened at the festival and the first place winner receiving $1000.
Submissions are open now and close on 20 October. For more information visit the website www.thegoodcoast.com.au
