From the panoramic views of Wollumbin Mt Warning comes a slice of Australian architecture and history. Mavis’s Kitchen is located in front of the idyllic views and lush forest sights customary to the Northern New South Wales’ Tweed Coast.
The majestic two-story Queenslander, that is Mavis’s Kitchen, is a country style restaurant and bed and breakfast nestled underneath Wollumbin Mt Warning.
Combing the natural splendor with live music and a long table dinner in the garden, Mavis’s Kitchen is continuing their ever-popular event series with a second installment of ‘Opera around the world’.
Keeping with the international theme, Spanish, Peruvian and Italian dishes will be partnered with the awe-inspiring performances of Julia Allsop’s Italian Arias.
Julia has an outstanding resume, preforming with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at this year’s Melbourne festival (2017). Notable soloist performances such as the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic chorus’s “Scotland the brave” and significant supporting roles such as those with Mark Vincent and the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Annual Oratorio competition.
Making the most of the idyllic spring weather, Mavis’s Kitchen has welcomed Julia back after her last sellout performance in June.
A full dinner and drinks package will be served throughout Julia’s performance along with themed canapes and a surprise dessert to finish.
Mavis has teamed up with their friends at Mount Warning tours to offer transfers to and from Tweed Heads, Kingscliff or Murwillumbah. Designated drivers are also welcome with deals on an alcohol-free evening from $89, for the non-drivers a dinner/drinks package is $125-
The stage is set, the spring weather has been ordered and the team at Mavis’s are thrilled to bring this stellar event back to their garden arena.
