Today Bluesfest released the second instalment of its lineup for the five-day event to be held from Thursday 24 March to Monday 28 March next year.
Co-headlining the second announcement are Tom Jones and Noel Gallagher, who will be performing at Bluesfest with his band, the High Flying Birds.
Tom Jones will appear at the festival for the first time in his 50 year career. And Noel Gallagher will perform with his new band following a multi-platinum career with Oasis. He is also making his Bluesfest debut.
The Decembrists, also making their debut, join Jason Isbell, Sturgill simpson, Tweedy (which features Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy and his song Spencer), Steve Earle and his backup band The Dukes, The Wailers (who will perform four consecutive shows), Grace Potter, Lord Huron, Nahko and Medicine for the People (pictured in feature image), Vintage Trouble, Lucky Peterson, eMDee, Blackberry Smoke are also on the second lineup announcement.
They join The National, City and Colour, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue, Joe Bonamassa, Tedeschi Trucks Band ,The Cat Empire, Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, The Word, Rhiannon Giddens, Janiva Magness, St Paul and the Broken Bones, Allen Stone, The Selecter, Shakey Graves and Songhoy Blues who were previously announced.
