Australia’s rock royalty will descend on Broadwater Parklands next February for a brand new, one-day, summer music festival.
Under The Southern Stars will feature the Working Class Man himself, Jimmy Barnes as the event visits three stunning coastal locations in NSW, Victoria and Queensland, with the Gold Coast show taking place Saturday 10 February.
Jimmy Barnes has had more #1 albums than any other Australian artist and has been inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. Twice.
He’ll be joined on the Gold Coast lineup only, by Ian Moss and Tex Perkins.
Five time ARIA award winner, former Cold Chisel guitarist and successful solo artist, iconic Australian musician, Ian Moss will bring his unforgettable live sound and silken voice to fans of all ages.
From the pub rock favourites of the Beasts of Bourbon to the soundscapes of The Cruel Sea, Tex Perkins has played a key role in the Australian music scene and is a firm favourite of lovers of rock Australia wide. Perkins will deliver his trade-mark uninhibited performance and blues-rock sound to Gold Coast audiences at the new summer festival.
But that’s not all, there are seven legendary Australian acts making up the bill for Under The Southern Stars. Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss and Tex Perkins will be joined by Diesel, Richard Clapton, Ash Grunwald and The Rich And Famous.
“This is a bill I’m looking forward to being a part of,” said Jimmy Barnes.
“This show will definitely rock. In the middle of summer, what would you want to do but get out with your mates and have a party? Join us. I think there will be a few surprises on the day”
