Imagine this. It’s a Saturday morning and you’re on your way to a festival. What comes to mind? Crowds, scantily dressed tattooed bodies? Queues for booze and stinking port-a-loos? Well think again. This is Coochiemudlo Island and they’re set to open their shores to visitors for a unique little gig.
We love festivals like this. It’s all sunshine (right?), chilled vibes and sweet tunes. And Coochie Music Festival , is set to bring the goods.
With none other than Ed Kuepper announced as the headliner – known for founding The Saints and Laughing Clowns as well as making award-winning music, this little one-day event is bound to please music lovers, particularly those who like to do things differently.
Coochie Music Festival takes place on the island on Saturday 13 September and Mr Kuepper is joined by The Basement Hustle, Gold Coaster’s The Twine, Bare White Knuckles, Andy McDonell, Swampfish and Island Time. And tickets are less than thirty bucks.
Thanks to the friendly organisers, who are keen to show off their island home, we have a double pass to give away.To be in the running, send us an email with the subject heading Coochie Festival and tell us what the closest island is to Coochiemudlo. You also need to give us your full name and a contact phone number and email address. We’ll draw the winner at random around midday on Tuesday 9 September.
