This year, the Brisbane Writers Festival will once again transform South Brisbane’s State Library precinct into a bustling playground of ideas, and we have a one day double pass* to give away to a luck Blank reader! Simply enter via our Facebook page before 29 August.
First presented as the Warana Writers Convention in 1962, just six sessions were presented over one day. The Brisbane Writers Festival now present over 150 events, with more than 20,000 literary lovers descending onto State Library Queensland and QAGOMA annually in September to hear from their favourite authors.
This year’s program includes young storytellers education program Word Play, young adult appreciation fest Love YA, travelling First Nations artwork and pop-up venue Angel’s Palace, as well as special events such as Dinner with Lauren Weisberger, author of ‘The Devil Wear Prada’, ‘Detours’ with You Am I frontman Tim Rogers, an Evening with Veronia Roth and Friends on Dytopian Futures and a closing address by Dr Karl.
The 2018 Festival will run from 6 – 9 September at State Library Queensland, the home of the Brisbane Writers Festival. Tickets are available here.
* The double pass entitles the winner and their guest of choice to select six sessions they would like to attend on any one festival day, and does not include special events.
